Sajmo1 - Leicester's last two net spends have been £16m and £11.1m.

Success has got fuck all to do with net spend, it's to do with a club that has forward thinking management who know what they are doing, selecting decent managers who also know what they are doing. Unfortunately we lack both!

Don't be so dumb!

Even at 1-0, we didn't create anything. Just passed it one way, to the other, no one having the bollocks to have a go.

Conceding a goal from a counter attack when we're 1-0 up - laughable

I must say, except for the obvious, I thought Fredericks was absolutely fucking shit last night. Does absolutely fuck all and should have done better for the first goal.

Only one who can come up off that pitch with his head held high, for me, is Fornals. Put a shift in.

So unbelievably slow as a team who fail to press as a unit. Last night Arsenal gave us the ball in their half 5 or 6 times and we had no pace in turning those errors into an attack. It's all sideways and back. Balls are played to players with a chance of a shot and they just knock it sideways again. How many goals have we scored from a long range shot?! How many balls do we play into the box from a cross, high or low?! Arsenal before the game were practicing low crosses across the area and where did their goals come from? Shambles.

Shambolic again last. We were playing a team low on confidence and defensively as brittle as us. Our manager decides to play one up front ffs

Yeah let's not go a tad more secure at the back after not winning for 10 games and conceding multiple times a game by 60 mins before we get near their goal.

Fucking dumb arse.

Easy to say from my armchair, but we need to support Pellegrini and the team.
Snodgrass on the right is an odd one Jasnik, and then Fornals on the left? Not sure what the advantage is in that?

So you say we need to support the manager then straight away question he's tactics. Genius.

Pellegrini has lost the plot big time, and yet you want the supporters of the club to "support" a manager who has won one game in the last eleven. Ridiculous.

I'm packing this in until they sort it out.

Oh shut up three at the back. Desperation tactic employed by all the truly shit managers.

Yes please I'd like is to score fewer goals! Twat.

Brighton play 3 at the back coz that suits their players best.

We don't even though it does.

Coz the coach is a fucking fruad.

Hasn't ever been able to defend in this league. His man city teams always conceded the most goals of all the challengers. He just had world class forward players to bail him out. That is never going to be the case here.

We look absolutely fucking dire going forwards, but conceding 3 on average (it used to be 2) is why it's going so fucking wrong.

Arsenal were fucking dire, any half decent team would have beaten them easily. The mighty Brighton beat them at the Emirates last match.

Please lets stop this net spend bollocks. Like earlier posters have mentioned £3.5m for Jonny Evans, Chris Wood £15m compared to £40m + for Haller the statute etc, etc. It's not always how much! Pellegrini is one of the highest paid managers, yet he's fucking garbage!

I agree about Rice who I admire greatly and is one shining light in an awful team. However, did anyone else notice that while running back he wasn't busting a gut a couple of key times as if he actually didn't have the stamina to sprint to cover danger!

That for me says the team aren't fit enough when a great 20 years old player runs low on energy! I heard on a commentary a couple of games back that WH are bottom of the distance covered table which suggests to me that is the problem...

I don't get that MP has finally realised that Haller is too isolated and so has gone to an offensive 3 but then drops Haller???

I don't get why Fornals is playing wide???

It was advertised as a 4-3-3 when in reality it was basically 4-4-2, which with the players we have, I don't understand???

We had Arsenal there for the taking but needed more potency up front yet he never brought Haller on???

I just don't understand?

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread
The effort was there from the players. Unfortunately, Cresswell, Noble, Snodgrass and Antonio cannot play an intense pressing game for 90 minutes without breaking. Also, the quality up front is lacking mainly due to lack of confidence because of the run we have been on.

The damage was done in October and November. Pellegrini made a big mistake getting Roberto in as a number 2 keeper and an even bigger mistake leaving him in the team. He cost us points and drained the confidence away from the rest of the team. On top of that, our attacking players were all out of form, and Pellegrini has paid the price for not having enough strength in depth.

After Southampton, we have a break until Boxing Day. If we lose on Saturday, the manager has to go.

Re: ⚽ West Ham v Arsenal - Official Match Thread
I've said time and time and time again - We are not good at the back - Fredericks can't defend, neither can Cresswell or Masuaka. So the only formation that affords them cover and gives them license to perform the only task they are vaguely competent at (attacking) is 3-5-2

The fact a manager of his experience fails to see this is mind blowing.

What's the first thing new managers do when they join struggling sides? Tighten up the defence - you can not keep shipping goals week in week out and expect to stay up.

Once you have a solid platform and confidence at the back - you can build going forward. It's a simple game - but the basics are of paramount importance and are all carried out without the ball. Commitment, desire to affect your opposite number and running.

The way we capitulated having controlled the game is a red flag for relegation.

Unfortunately, we have board not prepared to pay the 5-8-10mm it may cost to relieve of him of his duties - in addition to the replacement cost.

Me and the old man were struggling to stay awake, such was a the dull predictability of our play and the outcome after they equalised. I'm bored shitless of this turgid bollocks, year after year.
